A last ditch attempt

These are a few of my last attempts. After walking around for days and getting a whole lot of nothing, i kind of gave up. I've been forcing myself to shoot just because i want to get as much as i can, but it doesn't always add up to great stuff. but here's some stuff! :)

A rad dude

My friend here invited me under his shelter in the market while it was raining. He didn't speak a word of english, but he gave me a seat until the rain let up. I made it pretty contrasty cuz i didn't like it much otherwise :) and this was the only decent shot i got today. guhh..so hard sometimes. but, i will just try again tomorrow..and the next day, until we leave. I guess im trying to get portraits more than anything else. so far i've found them to be the most interesting thing to shoot. and it's hard to make the other shots look good haha. photography is hard ya'll!

Im doing my best, but its really hard to get good shots sometimes :)

It's all about timing, communication, luck and the right lens at the right time. So you get what you get. It's challenging for sure.

Managing construction down the street.

Fanning the coals by the market about to make something tasty im sure.

This man is kind of odd. But i think he is the owner of a beautiful new temple still being built across from our guest house.

Some of the old buildings in Ha Noi. So much to shoot, so little time.

Caged birds are meant to be good luck...for people, not the birds. I'd say this bird is having some bad luck.

in colour

I showed the black and white ones to the owner and she said it made her look old and that colour would be better. well, the lovely receptionist told me thats what she said :) so im posting it for her :)

Omi of the east

This is maybe not the best photo ever but this is the owner of the guesthouse we stay at in ha noi. she's a very sweet old lady who cant speak english, so she makes up for it by smiling and making us breakfast :) ..the best breakfast. just and omlette and fresh bread, but honestly she does it the best in south east asia. don't think there could possibly be much of a difference? trust me. also, i dont know which one looks better, the original (this one) or flipped? i think flipped...comments?
